The Cottage

This sweet cottage with its whitewashed stone walls and original timber beams is one of the oldest in the village. Yr Hal is in a quiet part of the lower village next to Nant Hawen, the brook which runs through the village to the sea. Less than 5 minutes walk to the sea, this cottage is wonderful for families who can make the most of the sandy beaches and great swimming. Self catering kitchen facilities are very good in the cottage, so popping back for a snack is easy and convenient, or make the most of the great village cafes and pubs for meals, snacks, pizzas, teas and coffees – and ice creams of course.

Ideal for a family of four or five, or a group of friends, there are two bedrooms, one with a double and single and the other with a pair of twins. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with shower over. A travel cot is available to book. Downstairs there is a newly refurbished kitchen with a large dining table, a sitting room, shower/wet room and back porch. A cottage garden with lawn opens from the back porch and provides a secluded area for eating out and relaxing. Garden furniture is available. To the front just across the lane is a further patio area next to the brook. Parking for one car is available next to the property.

Llangrannog village is lively in the summer season and tranquil during the rest of the year. With several sandy beaches nearby, good water quality and an RNLI lifeguard much of the year it is a lovely place for a seaside holiday. When surf’s up there are a number of surfers to be seen enjoying the waves and the bay is good for canoeing and paddling boarding when the water is calm. Although there is a car park in the village, most visitors park in the upper village car park and walk down to the lower village. The surrounding area also has attractive towns, villages and beaches to explore. Cardigan, St Dogmaels, Poppit Sands, Tresaith, Penbryn and Mwnt are all lovely.
